Vouchers and private school choice get all the attention, but New Jersey's other choice program, which only involves public schools, continues to grow significantly. The Christie administration announced that families in public schools will have 73 choices outside their home districts next year under the state's Interdistrict Public School Choice program. The strategy allows families to cross district lines for public schooling, and this year will add two more districts to the list. In all, more than 3,300 students are projected to participate in the program, up from 2,100 this year.
