High Technology High School in Lincroft, NJ, is the No. 1 high school in the country for math and science, according to a ranking by U.S. News World Report.
The list was determined by looking at the 600 public schools on US News' overall list of Best High Schools and then evaluating their performance and participation rates on Advanced Placement exams.
High Technology headed up a group of 11 New Jersey high schools on a list of 208 schools. McNair Academic High School in Jersey City placed second in the state and 60th overall, followed by the Academy of Allied Health and Science in Monmouth County (66th); Union County Magnet High School in Scotch Plains (70th); Princeton High School (96th); Academy of Info Tech, Scotch Plains (109th), Ridge High School, Basking Ridge (117th), Madison High School (122nd), Marine Academy of Science and Technology, Sandy Hook (147th), Millburn High School (163rd), Summit High School (172nd).
