NJ Spotlight is a professional non-profit, non-partisan website devoted to news and analyses of the critical issues facing New Jersey. We are a different kind of news source in that we focus on in-depth looks at the policies and programs that shape our lives -- and the futures of our children. NJ Spotlight launched in May 2010 through the generous support of the Community Foundation of New Jersey, the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation and the William Penn Foundation.
With your help we could do so much more in terms of breadth and depth of coverage. Our goal is to create a sustainable business model for this kind of journalism, but we need support from readers to help get us started. New Jersey has always been dominated by media from outside the state and now faces even greater challenges due to the recession and the disintegration of local news outlets.
We ask that you consider making a tax-deductible donation to enable our kind of news coverage to grow and flourish. To make a donation .
